Procedures

In order to ensure a smooth rental, we adhere to proven rental procedures.

1.      Please reserve equipment well in advance to ensure its availability.

2.      It is the responsibility of the rental customer to thoroughly check that equipment is in working condition prior to leaving the premises. All rental equipment can be tested and examined at our facility.

3.      It is necessary for the renter to provide TCS with a standard insurance certificate prior to rental pickup.Ý This certificate must clearly state the following:Ý a) name of certificate holder, b) TCS, Inc. as ìLoss Payeeî, c) insurance for ìMiscellaneous rental motion picture or video equipment-replacement costî, d) dollar amount of insurance deductible, and e) the period of time that the insurance is valid must cover the rental dates).Ý If a valid insurance certificate is already on file for your production company, you will not need to submit another (unless it has expired).Ý For any travel and/or shooting outside of the United States, the insurance certificate must provide worldwide coverage.

4.      In the event of damage, loss, or theft, the renter is fully responsible for the rented equipment until said equipment has been replaced, or repaired to an acceptable condition. Until that time, rental charges for said equipment will accrue.Ý TCS is not responsible for non-owned equipment.Ý

5.      Rentals are subject to a security deposit (see below) in the amount of the insurance deductible unless the customer has an established account that is in good standing.Ý Payment of this deductible will be accepted in cash, credit card or certified check. To apply for an account, click on the credit application form above and submit it to us at least 15 business days prior to rental.
