Angenieux Type M1 50mm T1 // ZO

Optics were manufactured in France between 1960 and 1980 for surveillance applications where light was in short supply.

This lens actually predates Canon’s 50mm f/0.95 “Dream Lens” by six years, but because the Angenieux wasn’t available to the public, few knew of its existence.

Rebuild required a totally new design for the optical cell itself, including a brand-new 16-blade iris.
